Position Overview

We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who is not only looking to learn but also brings new ideas to the table. As a valuable member of our Supply Chain Operations team, the Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end movement of wine and spirits products from suppliers and production facilities to warehouses, distributors, and retail partners.  This role ensures timely, compliant, and cost-effective transportation while maintaining product integrity and adhering to alcohol regulatory requirements.

**This role is on-site in Highland Park, IL five days a week.**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate global movement of wine and spirits raw materials and finished products.
  • Schedule and track inbound shipments from wineries, distilleries, and importers.
  • Arrange outbound deliveries to distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
  • Monitor shipping performance and resolve transportation delays or damages.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local alcohol regulations (e.g., TTB, state alcohol control boards).
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and import/export paperwork.
  • Coordinate excise tax documentation and compliance where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to manage receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive and fragile products.
  • Reconcile shipping documents with inventory systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in logistics and warehouse management, including experience with international processes and ocean shipping.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
  • Familiar with ERP (NetSuite preferrable) and WMS software; competent with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to details.

Salary and How to Apply

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position in IL is $50,000 – $65,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus subject to company performance and other factors.
