Position Overview

Sovereign Brands is looking for a standout Designer to add to our dynamic and high functioning in-house creative team. As a Designer on our team, you will be asked to serve the family owners and sales force within the organization to build and promote brands in the wine and spirits markets. The role largely revolves around creating various print driven marketing communications and product brand promotions either at the shelf or online. You will be an indispensable partner by having the ability to function and manage your own projects while lending a hand in support for others when need be.
**This role is on-site in Highland Park, IL five days a week.**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create digital and print materials: packaging, signage, sell sheets, journal/web ads, presentations, posters, POS items, and digital assets for social media
  • Logo, label and product design for new brand developments
  • Heavily focused in print design (90% print, 10% digital)
  • Collaborate with design and marketing team to support projects, campaigns and offer design solutions
  • Communicate with printers and production vendors to ensure production quality from start to finish
  • Contribute to brand guidelines development
  • Take leads on design projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of professional-level experience required in creative/graphic design field
  • Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (any other tools are a plus!)
  • Experience designing in PowerPoint
  • A diverse portfolio, featuring a range of mediums
  • Ability to work swiftly on multiple, overlapping projects; fast paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail, file organization, and execution in craft
  • Take design direction and apply it to work
  • Knowledge of print production (bleeds, color settings, preflight)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

The base compensation for the position is: $55,000-$60,000
